A washing machine fault can interrupt the whole household, but the symptom does not always reveal the failed part. Avoid overloading the drum, use the correct amount of detergent and periodically clean the filter where the manufacturer allows it. Check pockets for coins and small objects, and leave the door slightly open after use so the interior can dry. Persistent noise, a burning smell or repeat error codes should be investigated rather than reset repeatedly.

Why is my washing machine not draining?
